Types of monkeys in thailand

This is a list of the mammal species recorded in Thailand. One of the species listed for Thailand is considered to be extinct. Thailand is home to many different species of primates, but the most common monkey you’ll see when visiting is a macaque (pronounced “ma kak”), a small, gray or gray-brown animal that usually hangs out in trees or other foliage. These monkeys are terrestrial creatures foraging for food on the ground.


They rarely climb trees, although have been seen in the forest canopy, most often when fleeing poachers and gunfire.

As the leader of his troop, this gluttonous monkey also had subordinate monkeys bringing him goodies. They are expensive, dangerous, live a long time, require a huge amount of your daily time, need a lot of space, and are not cuddly. Yes, some monkeys live out their lives without causing harm to a human and can be properly cared for as pets.
