Mslexia submissions

There’s something to tickle any writer’s creative fancy – if you’re wondering if it’s. If you would like an acknowledgement of your submission’s arrival, please include a SAE. And we’re constantly dreaming up new submission opportunities to get the creative juices flowing – whatever your genre.


Cast your mind years back to your childhoo or just a few hours back to last night - or to any destination in between - and send in a slice of your life.

All entrants will be notified of the of the competition by the end of the year. A platform for women writers. Many well-respected writers have contributed articles, including Patricia Duncker, Sara Maitlan Trezza Azzopardi, Amanda Craig and Linda Leatherbarrow. Deadline: Mon Twice annually we ask for themed poetry and prose submissions for the Showcase (previously New Writing) section of the magazine. Mslexia is the magazine for women who write.


For Issue 8 we are looking for stories, poems and scripts on the theme of clothes. Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Aimed at women writers at the more serious end of the spectrum,.

National Directory of calls for submissions and competitions, and also a regional directory. Good range of quality writing, information and advice with news, reviews, competitions and interviews, all presented in a friendly fashion. This statistical information is an aggregation of submission data provided by our members.


The more data we have the more accurate our numbers will be so please be sure to log all of your submissions here and not just your rejections or acceptances. Submissions are invited for the following categories: Choice, Recommendation and Special Commendation. All served up with a challenging selection of new poetry and prose. Deadline: Mon Twice annually we ask for poetry and prose submissions for the New Writing section of the magazine Winners are selected by our New Writing Guest Editors, who in the past have included Julia Blackburn, Nicci Gerrar Pascale Petit, Rachel Cusk and Sarah Dunant. All of these are paying markets, and none charge submission fees.


As always, every genre, style, and form is wante from short stories to poetry to essays. I post monthly calls for submissions on the last day of the previous month. As seems only right, the magazine ripples with contributions from its readers, with invitations for submissions of 200-word monologues, 100-word character descriptions, ‘A Week of Tweets’ 80-word Rants and Raves, and ‘Four Lines that Rhyme’, each of which provides a welcome change in pace when set against.


Each quarter they’ll receive craft advice, inspiration and hundreds of opportunities to see their work in print. A copy of our brand new Indie Press Guide. Myslexia call for submissions. We are incredibly excited to read your work. But we would like you to read our guidelines really carefully before submitting. Where pages become pixels. Alongside this starry line up, much of the magazine is open to submissions from any woman and we aim to include at least one previously unpublished writer in every issue.


The competition is open to women of any nationality from any country and welcomes stories between 3and 0words in length (not including the title) on any subject. More than just a magazine. We aim to provide a high-profile platform for new and established voices with every copy of the magazine.


LITMAG CONTESTS LitMag‘s Virginia Woolf Award for Short Fiction First Prize: $50 publication, and agency review by Sobel Weber. There are presently no open calls for submissions. Moss is a literary journal of Pacific Northwest writing. The writer’s mind is in conflict with itself – there is a knowing technical side and a dreamy side.


The technical side is endlessly censoring. We received about 0submissions but only had about 5subscribers.
