Kale puree

And kale alone as a puree is actually not very palatable for most babies I prefer to mix it with a sweeter starch like a sweet potato or butternut squash so you can scoop some of this is sweet. Kale , a hearty green, brightens potatoes that have been cooked in cream. Smooth and substantial, this dish is a welcome foil for pork roast with winter fruits or other roasted meats.

Kale is a member of the cruciferous vegetables family, in which there are vegetables such as cauliflower and broccoli. The consumption of kale is highly recommended because it is one of the most nutritious aliments. Cook uncovered until the kale is tender and tears easily, to minutes.


Fish out the boiled garlic cloves and reserve. Drain the kale in a colander an when it’s cool enough to handle, squeeze out as much water as you can. Roughly chop the kale, the boiled garlic and the raw garlic.

Too much kale in a puree and it can become super bitter. Too little kale and you are missing out on essential nutrients found in kale. Add the kale and sugar, reduce heat to simmer, and cook until kale is tender, about minutes. Transfer the soup to a large blender, add cream, and process until smooth.


Return soup to pot, heat until thoroughly warme add a pinch or two of ground nutmeg, season to taste, and serve.
